Designated Other is a label applied to a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Northern Ireland
who identifies as neither as a Nationalist nor a Unionist. The designation is not necessarily one of abstract political beliefs, but rather indicates how the MLA designates themselves in accordance with standing orders of the Northern Ireland Assembly

Procedure
According to the standing orders of the Assembly, "after the signing of the Roll a Member may enter in the Roll a designation of identity, being Nationalist, Unionist or Other.
