Delta-Galil employs some 10,000 people worldwide. In the company's first Global Corporate Responsibility report, it set goals for cutting the amount of water, energy and waste consumed by its factories around the world. It plans to base 10% of its production on eco-friendly materials by 2012, up from 7.2% today. The company has also committed to 10% reduction in water use, 5% reduction in energy consumption, and 5% growth in recycling rates by 2015. The company's Ecolife brand is a result of R&D to produce apparel that uses less energy in washing and drying. The garments can be
washed in cold water and last longer.
Delta Galil, has operations in Egypt, Bulgaria, Thailand, United States, UK, Jordan, China and India. It also employs sub-contractors in China, Turkey, Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka, Indonesia and Vietnam.
