An aspiring feature film writer and director, Sander has been developing numerous projects, principally a self-funded science-fiction alternative history epic Man Conquers Space
. To establish appropriate credentials in order to attain a feasible budget for that project, Sander has initiated a series of more modest interim projects, including short films and at least one feature. The first completed is Ghosts of War
, a privately-funded short film created with feature-level production values.
Sander is also a vigorous supporter and participant in the Living History
community, re-enacting the life and times of 10th century Anglo-Saxon
s as a member of the Huscarls Dark Age Re-enactment Society. He also paints, sculpts, works in jewellery, carpentry and metalwork, and is a keen amateur photographer.
