History

Born in Rochester New York, David Raleigh moved to Seattle at the age of four, and received a scholarship to attend Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan. He recorded his first album in 1979 titled "Totally Psyched", a gospel release funded by an investor. The success of the album gave Raleigh a platform to tour with contemporary Christian icons such as Amy Grant

In 1993, Raleigh had a small feature role as himself in the German cult movie Kleine Haie. His second album 'Never Alone' was recorded and released in 1995. Raleigh has since played numerous venues across New York, including Manhattan's Stringfellows, Tatou

Current projects

In late 2008, David Raleigh released his new single 'I Do!' with the B-side 'The Only One', marking a new direction and sound for his music. The songs were produced by singer/songwriter Nathan Leigh Jones

. In an interview with Time Out magazine Hong Kong, Raleigh describes the song as "a happy tune, a ‘driving with the top down’ kind of number". The song is to appear on his upcoming album. The music video for "I Do!" was directed by Alan Cumming and Ned Stresen-Rueter, and made its broadcast premiere on Logo on February 2, 2010.
