In 2002 he played in eight of the Cougars' 12 games during the season and saw action on special teams.

Oswald played at Salt Lake City's Brighton High School. He played only one year of high school football, lettering in 2000 as a senior. He helped lead the Bengals to the state quarterfinals. He lettered as a junior and senior in basketball and was a high school academic letterman.College career
