History

In 1997 three friends and coworkers at Seer Technologies, Bob Brauer, Don Williams and Scott Gidley, founded DataFlux to provide organizations with data quality software. The early technology focused on "dirty data", especially in the areas of invalid address data and name ambiguity within databases. While their technology was promising, the founders struggled to attract interest from venture capitalists. Despite the funding setbacks, they managed to keep the business afloat even during the dot-com bust in the late 1990s. In 2000, SAS Institute
