In late 2008/ early 2009, Daniel completed a series of sold out concerts in conjunction with Symphony Nova Scotia
as part of their Traditional Pops Series with their collaboration celebrating the songs of Frank Sinatra
- 'A Salute to Ol' Blue Eyes'.
In addition to his music, Matto occasionally lends his voice to film and narration. He also sang backing vocals for Alex Lloyd
at his 2005 performance of Amazing at the Red Cross Gala for the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark, Prince Frederick
and Princess Mary
.
In May 2010 Matto, along with his group The Daniel Matto Quintet, released their debut album "I'm Old Fashioned" which was nominated for a Music Nova Scotia Award for Jazz Recording Of The Year.
