During 2011 Thompson is filming roles for the feature films Monitor, Three's A Shroud and Deadly Spectrum and makes an appearance in the film How to Stop Being a Loser due for release later in the year. Thompson has also been added to the cast of American horror film No Strings 2 and is due to begin filming during September/October 2011.

In August 2011, Thompson started writing a regular column called Dani's Deadly Diery in the bi-monthly Haunted magazine. She was also given her own blog page on the magazine's Website

In 2009 Thompson changed her middle name to Barbie
