. It is situated on the edge of a large natural gorge, Wadi Dana and enjoys spectacular view over Wadi Araba.

Dana is about 500 years old village. The only Jordanian village that preserves the 19th century villages of Jordan. It hosts one of Jordan's premier nature reserves and eco-tourism facilities named Dana nature reserve.

Dana is home to several hotels including the RSCN's Guest House, the Tower Hotel, and a hotel run by and for the benefit of the local community known simply as the Dana Hotel http://www.danahotel.org/.
