In 2005, Lusk was able to get a job with Premier Motorsports. He would drive the #85 House Hunter Chevy for 20 races. However, the team was greatly underfunded, and in 3 attempts, he did not qualify and John Hayden replaced him.

Update

Damon Lusk will race a few races in Nextel Cup for James Hylton's #58 car in 2007. Hylton will run the Daytona 500, Lusk will take over for some races. The team plans to run about 19 races in 2007. Lusk competed in the ARCA 200 Race at Daytona on Saturday, Feb 10th, 2007.
