General information

The University is the largest and oldest university in the region of Częstochowa. It employs over 1400 people, including 840 academic teachers, out of which 165 are independent scientific researchers. All faculties of the University have the rights to graduate doctors

Brief history

The University was founded in 1949 as Szkoła Inżynierska (Engineering School). In 1955 the name was changed to its current form of Politechnika Częstochowska.
