Housed in a traditional older-style building, with later additions, the school caters for children of the ages of 4-12 (Primary 1 to Primary 7). It also includes Corstorphine Nursery School. It is one of the highest achieving schools in the city.

 after Primary 7, at the age of 11 or 12.

Currently, the school has fifteen classes; three Primary 2 classes and two classes in each other year. There are around 25 children in each class.
