Corine Christensen was a prostitute and neuro-linguistic programming
(NLP
) student, who was murdered in California on November 3, 1986. With her boyfriend, James Marino, she also supplied drugs to Richard Bandler
, the co-developer of NLP
. Christensen was the daughter of a San Francisco policeman.
Christensen was shot in the face at her townhouse in Capitola
, near Santa Cruz, with a .357 Magnum
owned by Bandler, and died of her wounds. On January 29, 1988, Bandler was acquitted by a jury, after 5½ hours of deliberation, of the murder. Marino, who testified he was present during the shooting, was not charged.
The case is officially unsolved.
