While Collings Lakes is not an incorporated municipality, homes in the neighborhood are subject to certain deed restrictions and to the Collings Lakes Civic Association. Homeowners are not required to become members of the "Collings Lakes Civic Assn' Nor are they required to comply with CLCA Bylaws, Homeowners are Required to Pay an annual fee of $48.00 for "maintenance of lakes& beaches". Membership in the CLCA is voluntary per New Jersey Superior Court

living together, 13.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.9% were non-families. 13.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.06 and the average family size was 3.29.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 28.2% under the age of 18, 9.0% from 18 to 24, 31.4% from 25 to 44, 24.5% from 45 to 64, and 6.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 100.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.9 males.
