On 11 July, Cian Bolger returned to Bristol Rovers on a 6 month loan deal. On 24th September 2011, Bolger scored the first professional goal of his career against Morecombe, and followed this up with the third Gas goal in a thrilling 5-2 victory at home to Rotherham United.
