. The club was founded in June 2010, where they bought the Castle League franchise of Mbekweni Cosmos, and hereby started out to play in Vodacom League

Their first season was very successful, as they managed not only to win the Western Cape Province, but also to win the overall Vodacom Promotional Championship, after a series of play-offs in June 2011. Chippa United is wholly owned by Chippa Investment Holdings, which is a big construction, security and cleaning company in Cape Town.

  • Won the overall Vodacom Promotional Championship, after a series of play-offs in June 2011, where they first won the Coastal Stream, and then continued their victorious march, by defeating Sivutsa Stars

  • Won the Western Cape province in Vodacom League 2010–11, after achieving 26 victories, 5 draws and only 1 defeat. At the same time they had a rather impressive Goal Difference of 78, having scored 96 and only conceded 18 goals. Despite this impressive performance, the victory in the provincial division was only achieved in the last round of the season. Because the runnerup Milano United managed to pull out an equally strong performance, with only 2 defeats during the season.
  • Reached the 1/16-Finals (round 32) of the 2011 Nedbank Cup, where they narrowly lost to Witbank Spurs
