Later life

After the death of his wife, he became a member of the Dominican Order

 as Fr. Raymundus Maria in 1907, and lived in the monastery of Venlo in the Netherlands. He was ordained as a Catholic priest in 1908. The same year, he gave up his title of Prince and was succeeded by his son.
