-based, member-owned financial institution. It was formed in 2008 by the merger of Credit Union Central of British Columbia and the Credit Union Central of Ontario.

Central 1 has offices in Vancouver and Mississauga, providing services to member credit unions in British Columbia and Ontario. Central 1 provides liquidity management, payments, Internet and trade association services to 164 member credit unions in B.C. and Ontario, having a combined membership of 2.9 million, while also serving corporate customers with financial and transaction services.

Donald Rolfe is Central 1's President and CEO and Jack Smit, president and chief executive officer of Libro Credit Union Ltd. is chair the Board of Directors. Rolfe also serves on the Board of Directors for Credit Union Central of Canada
