 that was established in 1938. It educates around 450 children between the ages of 4 and 11. The school is funded by Reading Borough Council so there are no fees for the pupils.

Academic performance

This school is one of the highest performing schools in the region. In 2010 the school was the top primary school in Reading borough, with 93 per cent of its pupils gaining level four or above in English and 98 per cent making the grade in maths.

When inspected in 2009, the school was given the highest possible effectiveness rating of 1, Outstanding, by Ofsted
