Career

After attending high school in the Dominican Republic at La Romana High, he was signed by the Kansas City Royals in 1993 as an amateur free agent.

A highly touted prospect in the late 1990s, Febles burst onto the scene in 1999, drawing hype as a potential Rookie of the Year candidate and one of the best glovemen in the game. Along with Carlos Beltran
