Captain Courageous appeared in Banner Comics from issue #3 to #6 (March, 1942; this issue was actually renamed Captain Courageous Comics); that was the end of his first run, as there was no issue #7. He then appeared in the Ace title Four Favorites, from issue #5 (May, 1942) to #28 (March, 1946). After that, he fell into the public domain

 he aided the Allied forces. He appears as a man dressed in a red-and-blue costume with stars on it and a star-shaped mask. His powers include super-strength, flight, limited invulnerability, and the ability to exist underwater unaided. From Super-Mystery Comics #23 onward, Captain traded his costume for civilian clothes and stopped displaying any powers.
