. The origin dates back to 14th century,nevertheless the settlement stems from pre-Roman era. It´s possible that the original core of the town was the upper part known as "el coso". In the beginning belonged to old kingdom of Leon, and then, to crown of Castile and within the Castile belong to realm of Seville until 1833 when they were created the spanish provinces. Fron them, the village is into the province of Badajoz.

Among the main attractions, can stand out its nature surround and its historic monuments as the cross of the Rollo from 16th century and ruled make by Felipe II; the Fontanilla with a early Gothic Christ from 1339; or the church fron 14th century with its belfry from 18th century. Also I underlined the bullring from 19th century.
