. Burnt Mill School is built near the site of a mill that had burnt down, hence the name of the school and the surrounding area. In the coming academic year (Sept 2011- July 2012), Burnt Mill School will be holding celebrations year-round to celebrate 50 years since opening. (1962-2012). Plans are yet to be confirmed.
