Description

B. utahensis is a low, hairy shrub reaching < 0.5 m in height but growing wide with extensive branching. The foliage is a very light silvery-green due to the small light hairs. Its leaves are 2 to 3 cm long, thick, bumpy, and curling under along the sides. Erect stems bear fuzzy club-shaped inflorescence

s with series of rounded clusters of flowers. The tubelike flowers bear the same velvety light green surface as the rest of the plant except for their faces, where the flat corolla, about 0.5 cm wide, is a light to deep yellow.
