, about 14 km from the city centre. The school was opened in 1981 and now occupies a 13 acres (52,609.2 m²) site which includes a kindergarten, junior and senior schools. There is boarding accommodation for 150 students. Sports facilities include a swimming pool and irrigated pitches for cricket, soccer and rugby. The school is adjacent to Nairobi National Park and the boarding house overlooks an extensive area of the park.

The Brookhouse International School, Nairobi, offers an extensive programme of extra-curricula activities including a wide range of sports and safaris. The school follows a modified form of the English National Curriculum and students take the N.C. tests at ages 7, 11 and 14, and IGCSE and 'A' levels at 16 and 18 respectively. Most students go on to UK universities, but an increasing number of applicants go to the USA, Australia and South Africa. The school offers ESL and Special Needs support. All secondary students complete a minimum of 50 hours community service per year and there is an extensive program of inter-house events.

Classes at the Brookhouse International School, Nairobi, average about 16, with no more than 20 in any teaching group. Thirty-two nationalities are represented among the students at the school although the main client base is the business and diplomatic community based in Nairobi.
