The Brisbane Roar FC Youth League team, also known as the Brisbane Roar Youth, represents the Brisbane Roar in the National football (soccer)

running as the premier national competition, Football Federation Australia
decided to bring in a league to help the grassroots of Australia
make the transition to the top level. With that in mind, all existing clubs at the time (apart from Wellington Phoenix), were allowed teams to use in the competition. The A.I.S would take the position of the New Zealand
based club, with it being the top institute for sport in the country.
Brisbane Roar (then Queensland Roar), who were well known for finding and producing young talent, would be given more opportunities to produce said talent, allowing the club in general to flourish.

to be paid full-time wages outside the A-League
