A successful athlete in his own right, Lee played for the Furman
soccer team from 1989-92 where he was part of three Southern Conference
titles and was selected as a team captain and the Most Valuable Player. He also led his team to three Southern Conference
championships and its first ever NCAA appearance, and a berth in the Sweet 16 in 1991.
In his first season at LSU
, Lee led the Lady Tigers to an overall record of 8-10-2, falling in the first round of the SEC
tournament.
