His father was a landlord. After completed his graduation in Presidency College,Calcutta he returned to his village.He realised that with out the spread of education his area may not developed.Therefore he started a high school in his native village Larambha

in 1938. For that he donated his own land .At that time it was a very difficult to start a educational institution.

In 1964, he established a college also named Larambha College. Now it is a fullfledged college.
He devoted his entire life time to develop these institutions.He died in 1965.
