Bradley C. Harrison is a venture capitalist, business development executive, and professional networker. He is the founder and managing partner of BHV, a strategic advisory firm focused on enabling entrepreneurs through strategic business development and connections with advisors and capital. Mr. Harrison is also a partner at Point Capital Partners, a private veteran-owned asset management and merchant banking firm. Brad specializes in private equity for early stage companies with a focus on media, technology, and entertainment. A seasoned business development executive in both Fortune 500 companies and various venture backed entities, Brad specializes in negotiations, deal structures and deal closures. A notable Tribeca resident, Brad has created a personal network of people in leadership roles spanning across various industries. He holds three US patents in the search space, is a Distinguished Honor Graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and has an MBA in New Product and Venture Development from the MIT Sloan School of Management

Early Life and Education

Bradley C. Harrison attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1990-1994. He graduated in the top 1% of his class in all three categories; academic, physical & military earning him a Distinguished Honor Graduate award and a B.S.E in Theoretical Economics. . There he was elected by his peers to Sloan Student Senate, was President of the MIT Sloan Golf Club, Captain of Sloan Flag Football Team & Softball Team and active in the Venture Capital Club and Media Club.

Brad spent three consecutive semesters as Teaching Assistant for the New Enterprises course (15.390) focused on teaching Masters and PhD candidates how to launch a business. Brad was fortunate enough to work under Adjunct Professors Howard Anderson and Todd Dagres.

Brad currently teaches entrepreneurship by actively serving as an Executive Mentor for Columbia Business Schools course, New Ventures, with Adjunct Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship Brendan Burns.
Brad is also an active participant with the Columbia Business School Greenhouse Program.

Military career

Brad served five years in the Army as an Infantry Officer; starting as a Second Lieutenant and retiring as a Captain. During his tenure, Brad commanded combat troops, coordinated missions around the world, and was responsible for negotiations with foreign governments and non-government agencies (UN, Red Cross).

Brad held several positions during his time in the military including:

 to become the Vice President in charge of Strategic Partnerships and Distribution for WhenU.com, a contextual advertising network. Brad held P&L responsibility for all distribution partnerships (~$60M annually). Additionally, he was responsible for business development functions including sourcing, negotiating and executing deals.

Brad formally became a venture partner at Point Capital Partners (PCP) in 2005 after leaving WhenU. Point Capital Partners is a private, veteran-owned asset management and merchant-banking firm focused on the alternative investment marketplace. PCP creates and structures proprietary private investment opportunities and manages private investment funds in various sectors of interest and with various investment strategies. He continues to be a partner in PCP along his other ventures.

In 2006, Brad founded his own firm, Brad Harrison Ventures (BHV). The goal of BHV is to assist CEOs with strategic partnerships and business development to materially grow their audience and/or revenue. BHV is a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.
