Bosworth Hall
is a 16th century west facing country house at Teddingworth Road, Husbands Bosworth
, Leicestershire
. A new and additional hall was built facing south west and adjoining the older house in about 1790. In about 1870 a Victorian Gothick
wing was created to link the two buildings. The whole is a Grade II* listed building.
The Tudor
house has two storeys with attics in a range of five gables. A 19th wing to the left added a sixth gable to the frontage. To the south the 1870 bay creates the link to the three storey, five bayed Georgian
house.
The later hall was built for Francis Fortescue Turville who inherited the estate as an infant in 1763. On the death of his grandson Sir FF Turville in 1889, the estate passed to a cousin, Oswald Petre, who in 1907 changed his surname to Turville-Petre
