Career

Wade was an outstanding full back who played for Stella Maris, Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians during the 1960s. He was captain of Bohs for the 1967/68 season. He made 110 league appearances for Bohs and won junior and amateur international caps for Ireland. His first amateur cap came against Scotland in May 1966.

He is the father of ex-Bohs player Glen Wade.
