Construction history

It was built in 1934, and named after Slovene engineers Stane Rožman who started and Stanko Bloudek

 who finished the construction. It was renovated in 1945 and closed in 2001. The first ski jump in over 100 meters in history was achieved here on Bloudkova velikanka in 1936 by the Austrian Sepp Bradl.

Bloudkova velikanka was in use until 2001, when the upper part of the hill which standed in the air, was demolished by itself. Record holder of this hill is Noriaki Kasai

 who jumped 147,5 meters in World Cup 1998, which was also the world record for large K-130 hills at that time. That year the last international competition was held here.
