Early career

Christian Karlsson began his music career as a rapper, and under the alias "Serious" was a member of the Swedish hip-hop group Goldmine.
The label they were signed to, Pitch Control AB, was run by Christian Wåhlberg - who would later go on to co-found Murlyn Music and manage Bloodshy & Avant - and it was Wåhlberg that convinced Karlsson to stop rapping and become a songwriter-producer instead.
