The album featured hits "Love Train", "Americanos", "Atomic City" and "Heavens Here". The album was re-released in November 2009 and again in November 2010.

Johnson recently marked "Love Will Come" and "Heaven's Here" as his favourite tracks from the album. The album's title Blast came from The Vorticists
