Bishop Burton College is one of the finest land-based colleges in the country. It has the UK's only Centre of Vocational Excellence for Agriculture, and is the lead College in a tripartite Centre of Vocational Excellence in Equine.


Some of the courses the college offers include-
Public Services, Landscape, Land Based Engineering and Child Care Studies. The college also has a reputation for having outstanding facilities such as a student village, three eating areas, a well maintained meadow and a shop. Recently the colleges new library and Equine stadium was opened and visited by the Princess Royal in October 2008. The college is currently re-developing some of its animal enclosures used when studying farming and animal care.
