He appeared on more than 300 editions of ESPN's (The Sports Reporters) over 13 years, a Sunday morning show of debate among American newspaper columnists.

Conlin was suspended from DNL for one broadcast by Comcast, but was forced by his wife's stroke in July to resign from the show. The Daily News accepted the suspension but did not support it.
