Bhudargad is a taluka in Kolhapur district. It comes under Radhanagari subdivision.
Gargoti is the headquarter of Bhudargad taluka. Gargoti is a medium sized township
and have population of 20,000.
Kolhapur is 50 km from Gargoti towards north while Gadhinglaj is 38 km towards south.
Murgud and Nipani are the other nearer towns for Gargoti.
Number of ST buses run throughout the day for Kolhapur, Gadhinglaj and Nipani from this place.
But Gargoti does not come enroute like other towns of Kolhapur District. It is a lonely
place. But as per news from some local people, survey is taking place to complete
the road which will join Gargoti to Konkan via Patgaon. Currently people of
Gargoti if they want to go to Konkan have to go either via Radhanagari, Phondaghat
or via Uttur, Ajra, Amboli.
