Geography

Bhogpur is located at 31.55°N 75.63°E. It has an average elevation of 232 metres (761 feet). It is about 25 kilometres from Jalandhar City on National Highway NH1A to Srinagar. The town is also known as Bhogpur Sirwal. An interesting thing about Bhogpur is that India's first sugar mill was established here.
