Beni-Amer (Amir), they are a mixed ethnic group who united in the fourteenth century from Tigre, Beja and small portions Biher-Tigrinya ethnic groups of Eritrea, and occupy the borders between much of Eritrea's Barka valley and Kassala area of Eastern Sudan. The Beni-Amer speak To-Badiwe and Tigre.
