Bayou Academy participates in the MAIS for their sports programs.. Bayou Academy has won one football Class AA state championship in 1992, two Class A baseball state championship in 2006 and 2007, and runner up in football in 1991, 1996,and 2007. The high school softball team won 5 consecutive state championships in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. The sports team's rival are North Sunflower Rebels located in Ruleville, Mississippi
