The bass note of a chord

Tonality is a system of music in which specific hierarchy pitch relationships are based on a Key "center" or Tonic . The term tonalit? originated with Alexandre-?tienne Choron and was borrowed by Fran?ois-Joseph F?tis in 1840 ....
 theory, root notes were not considered and thus the bass was the most defining note of a sonority. Most directors will want the bass note to play a little louder than any other single instrument, to provide a foundation for the chord.
