Nearby is the upmarket village of Bascote Heath it is on an even longer road home to a few country mansions, one with a swimming pool, pond, triple garage, office, large landscaped garden, balcony and a snooker room with bar facilty. Several country cottages, farms, a war memorial, and the Fox and Hen public house. House prices will drop because of the proposed plan of the HS2, many residents are protesting.
