in 2009. Douglas continued to impress at the lower level, scoring nine goals from his full back position during the 2009-10 season (he was the Queen's Park top scorer). Speculation that Douglas would not return to Queen's for a further season proved true on 20 June 2010 when he was signed professionally by Dundee United. His debut for his new club came in August of that year, as a substitute against Inverness Caledonian Thistle
