Moon
The Moon is Earth's only known natural satellite,There are a number of near-Earth asteroids including 3753 Cruithne that are co-orbital with Earth: their orbits bring them close to Earth for periods of time but then alter in the long term . These are quasi-satellites and not true moons. For more...

A sphere is a perfectly round geometrical object in three-dimensional space, such as the shape of a round ball. Like a circle in two dimensions, a perfect sphere is completely symmetrical around its center, with all points on the surface lying the same distance r from the center point...

. It is attached to the north-northeastern rim of the walled basin named Apollo
Apollo (crater)
Apollo is an enormous impact crater located in the southern hemisphere on the far side of the Moon. This formation dwarfs the large crater Oppenheimer that is located next to the western rim. The crater Barringer lies across the northern wall...

, and lies to the southeast of Plummer
Plummer (crater)
Plummer is a lunar impact crater. It is located on the far side of the Moon from the Earth, to the north of the huge walled plain Apollo. Less than one crater diameter to the north of Plummer is the similar-sized Wilsing....

. South of Barringer, on the floor of the Apollo basin, is the crater Scobee
Scobee (crater)
Scobee is a lunar impact crater that lies within the northeastern part of the huge walled plain Apollo, just outside the inner mountain ring of that feature. Scobee is located due south of the crater Barringer, itself along the edge of the outer rim. Attached to the southwestern outer rim of Scobee...

.

This crater is generally circular in form, with a slight outward bulge along the western rim. The outer rampart of ejecta spills over slightly into the Apollo basin floor, but the remainder of the rim lies in rugged irregular ground. At the mid-point is a central peak formation, with a pair of tiny craters to either side: east and southwest). The remaining floor is relatively flat to the north and somewhat more irregular to the south.

Satellite craters

By convention these features are identified on lunar maps by placing the letter on the side of the crater mid-point that is closest to Barringer.
