Barkakana is a small town situated in the district "Ramgarh Cantt" of Jharkhand. Surrounded by mountaineries in South, West and North and Ramgarh town in East. Barkakana is Railway sub-division of Dhanbad (Hazipur Zone). It has railway traffic control room, hospital, schools and Railway station. Majority of people are in railway service.Near by Station there is a Central Repair shop of CCL also situated. CCL built residential area for his emplyoees around N.T.S.Barkakana.
