area while the creation of Barangaroo South - comprising the southern third of the site - is being carried out by Lend Lease.

Barangaroo South will celebrate the very best of Sydney, with quality architecture, harbourside parks, waterfront promenades and squares as well as new ferry services, restaurants, offices, apartments, shops, cafes and a landmark international hotel.

Barangaroo South will give Sydney a major employment boost. There will be over 3,000 people involved in the construction. Once Barangaroo South is completed, it will provide workplaces for about 23,000 Sydneysiders, with more than 6,000 new jobs created.

Sustainable

Barangaroo South aims to set new global benchmarks in sustainability.

The reinvigoration of Barangaroo South is intended to be amongst the most sustainable urban renewals anywhere in the world, combining very significant environmental, community and economic benefits to the people of Sydney and NSW.

The transformation of Barangaroo from a disused port into a vibrant, sustainable extension to Sydney’s CBD also provides the opportunity to clean up historic contamination at the site and to safeguard the harbour and foreshore for future generations.

For all Sydneysiders

The regeneration of Barangaroo returns over two kilometres of new public harbour foreshore, and 11 hectares of new open space and parkland for the enjoyment of all Sydneysiders.
