Bansal Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) is a private institution established in 2000, situated in Bhopal. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal and approved to AICTE, New Delhi.

The Institute is situated in Bhopal. The actual location is Kokta, Anand Nagar.

Admission

Admission to B.I.S.T is granted through counselling done by the State Government. Presently, online off campus counselling is done by Directorate of Technical Education, M.P. A candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory or additional subjects with 50% marks for UR and 45% for reserved candidates and should have appeared in PET examination conducted by VYAPAM. For M.Tech the admission is granted through valid GATE score card or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in the relevant field.

Co-Curricular Activities

The annual sports are organized every year. Annual functions are also organized by the institution in which skits, dance, singing are performed. In 2011 the institute's cricket team won the State Madavrao Smiriti Cricket Tournament held at SATI Vidisha. The national level Tech-Fest. "ANTARPRAVAH" is also organized every year.

Placement

This institute has very good placement record. In 2009 600+ students had been placed in various multinational companies. In 2010 there has been a number of placements with record high package of 4.15 lacs/annum offered by BMC Software
