Geography

Ballmoos has an area of 1.5 km² (0.579153237888803 sq mi). Of this area, 73.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while 22.4% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 3.4% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.7%) is non-productive (rivers or glaciers).

Ballmoos consists entirely of individual houses scattered throughout the borders of the municipality.
