Landmarks

The town square features a prominent monument to men who died in the 1798 rebellion: Comerford, Crennan, Geoghan, McEvoy, Fagan and Fox. The monument was erected in 1898. In 1998 a ceremony was held in Ballinakill to mark the bicentenary of the deaths.
