. B stands for "Beerangi" a small village close to Kothakota. B.Kothakota is famous for peanuts (groundnuts) and mills processing groundnuts and exporting them.

Sankarapuram is a nearby village close to Beerangi village; where a loony man Sankaraiah died in early 80s and villagers built him a grave and a temple and a junior college with the funds generated by the temple.

"ANDHRA OOTY" called Horsely hills come under this Mandal.

It is near by 125 km The GREEN CITY called Bengaluru and also near by 117 km Devotional city called Tirupathi. Panchayat people are trying to make this village as municipality.

Kothakota is surrounded by a beautiful belt of green landscape .A view of Horsley hills and other hills surrounded by makes it a paradise for an evening walk.

These is the one of the big town in its Taluk Tamballa Palli.
In this Town there is a population of around 80,000. It is the nearest border to Karnataka from two directions on is through Gownipalli(First town through this Way) & Chelur(First town through this Way).
This is a Mandal head quarters in Chittoor Dist.,situated at south-west side of Thirupathi. The famous hill resort Horley Hills is situated in this Mandal. It is a border town (Karnataka)well known for its agricultural and farm products. people especially farmers from neighbouring places like Chinthamani, Srinivaspura(Karnataka), Kadiri, Madnapalle, mainly depend on this town for their Agricultural farm needs. The main trade is Tamarind, groundnut, paddy and Gold jewellery.

There are more than 20 Private Schools & 2 Govt Schools(Boys High School & Girls High School)& a Govt Urdu Medium School also located here.
Among the Private Schools some are Raghavan, Chaithanya, Bhagavan, Sai Vaini, Bharat, and Ushodaya.
There is one Private Junior College by Name Sunku Usha Gowthami Memorial College (Founder. Late Sunku Balaram, Current Principal. Mr. Manjunath) has both English & Telugu Medium
& One Govt Junior Collage Which gives education only in Telugu.

There is one Private Degree College by Name Srinivasa Degree College which offers Students for Graduation Courses like B.Sc, B.Com, B.A. Etc,.

One Interesting fact about this town is, it has water on all the four sides around it in the form of Lakes.

MR. Chandra Babu Naidu (Ex-Chief Minister) has opened a Milk Diary near by 2km to the town towards Bangalore Road.

In this Town you will find among Muslims well settled old Families migrated from many other places like Siddimat, Bukkapattanam, Lepakshi, Lavani Etc..

In this town you will find people are friendly with each other though there are several religions & castes.
